Nan Shaw (a.k.a. N. de Bertrand Lugrin)
Nan Shaw was a Victoria based writer who wrote under the pen names N. de Bertrand Lugrin and Nellie de Bertrand Lugrin.
She interviewed Jennie Butchart at Tod Inlet in 1932 and published a newspaper article based on that interview which is the only source of publicly available information about Jennie Butchart describing her childhood.
We have used that 1932 interview extensively in our Butchart Gardens History.
