National Trust Company
The National Trust Company appears in Butchart Gardens History because it was controlled by Senator George Albertus Cox and Edward Rogers Wood., who were the majority shareholders in the Vancouver Portland Cement Company.
Through Edward Wood and Senator Cox it became the first institutional investor in the Vancouver Portland Cement Company.
The National Trust Company was acquired by ScotiaBank in 1997.
