Two others in this photograph were later involved with Robert Butchart in the Owen Sound Portland Cement Company.

George S. Kilbourn bought shares of the Owen Sound Portland Cement Company in 1895 and remained a shareholder until the company was sold to the Canada Cement Company  in 1909. Kilbourn also served as the company’s Secretary and Treasurer from 1895 to 1909.

At the time this photograph was taken Robert Butchart was in the hardware business in Owen Sound.
