Robert Butchart maintained office space on the third floor of the Belmont Building in downtown Victoria. He was based in the Belmont Building during his time as Director of Wooden Shipbuilding for the Imperial Munitions Board (1915-1919) and as President of the British Columbia Cement Company (1919-1942)
