The Sun Room additions to Benvenuto were designed by architect Samuel Maclure in 1911 and 1919.

In 1919 Robert Butchart and Jennie Butchart asked Samuel Maclure to design an “Extension” to the 1911 Sun Room. This “Extension” was added to the south side of the original 1911 Sun Room.
